Dr. Appointment for our little peanut

It's been WAY too long since we've posted, but we've got a ton of pictures on the camera, so we'll be posting a lot more now, I promise!

Zoey had her 2 month Doctor appointment (a few weeks ago now) and she weighed 9 lbs, 14.5 oz and was 22 inches long. Which coincidentally is the same size Jay was...WHEN HE WAS BORN!
Yeah, he was a big baby. :)

Zoey was a pretty big baby too, and was in the 75th percentile for height & weight when she was born.
Now, she's in the 25th percentile for both! The doctor wasn't worried, because her height & weight are the same and said that she's just little now. Which isn't too surprising - we know she won't be tall! :)
She's still wearing most of the same clothes she did when she was born, which is a bummer because most of the adorable little dresses she has are too big! So right now, I'm taking in some of her really cute stuff so she can wear it, and hoping our weather stays nice until she's big enough to wear everything!

Playing with Patrick

Zoey's Aunt Siri and Cousin Patrick flew from Seattle to Minnesota for a month this summer, and Siri and Patrick came up with Grandma & Grandpa Haugen to babysit Zoey on Monday!
Patrick had a great time and he especially loved looking out the window at the construction on a new condo across the street! He also had a great time playing with Lucky and he even got to go the Tot Lot (kids park) down by the river.
Zoey also had a fun time meeting Siri & Patrick in "real life" after Skypeing with them for the last 3 months. :)

Welcome Zoey Party

Zoey had a very fun party at her Grandma Dottie's house hosted by Grandma Dottie & Grandpa Bill in June to meet friends in Rochester. She slept through the beginning of the party, but she woke up at the end to play with some of the guests. :)

Zoey's first week of "family care"

This week, I went back to work. As I mentioned in a previous post, we had Zoey's Grandparents come up and watch her on Monday & Tuesday and Jay & I are working from home & watching her the rest of the week.
She did really well this week.  Although I think Lucky was pretty confused by the change, but he definitely enjoyed some time at home with his Grandparents and Dad too!

Bath time is the best time!

One of Zoey's favorite things is bath time! The other night, she was getting a little fussy, so I got her bathtub ready. By the time I got her clothes off, she was pretty mad. The second I put her in the water, she stopped crying and was instantly happy! I just wish there was a way she could hang out in there all day! :)

Back to work

Today was my first day back at work. While I've had a lot of fun staying home with Zoey, it is nice to put on some real clothes, get out of the house and talk to some grown-ups. :)

We are very lucky that Zoey will be getting "familycare" for the next few weeks. Her Grandma Judy & Grandpa Roger will be coming up to watch her on Mondays, Grandma Dottie will be watching her on Tuesday, Daddy will work from home on Wednesdays and I will work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Eventually, we'll put her in regular childcare Monday through Wednesday, but it's nice to have her taken care of right now by the people who love her the most!
