Already rolling over

Last week, Zoey rolled onto her back from her tummy, but we thought it was just a fluke. She had some good momentum, so we thought it was probably an accident.

Well today, at the cabin, she decided to show off. She rolled from her tummy to her back about 8 times! We caught one of those times on video.

With her this active at only 6 weeks, we know we're in for big trouble. :)

It's official: she smiled!

Zoey has always been very smiley - but always in her sleep. Last week, I was pretty sure she smiled at me while awake, but it was so quick that I couldn't be sure. Well, this weekend, she showed us some very real smiles.
While up at Grandpa & Grandma Haugen's cabin this last weekend, she gave Mommy & Daddy some HUGE smiles! It was an awesome moment and I was so glad that Jay & I were both there to see it!

Now she's been smiling more and more each day, especially when she wakes up - something she does not get from me!

I got one very quick picture on my phone, so that's why it's so blurry. Then I tried to get some more smiles on video right after she got up from a nap. She gave me a few smiles, but then let me know that it was time to eat!

Zoey waking up...sort of

I've been meaning to get a video of Zoey waking up, and I sort of captured it.

Whenever she starts to wake up, I bring her to the changing table and get her changed right away. About halfway through, she'll finally wake up. She's a lot like me and takes a long time to wake up!

So I tried to get it on tape, but since I didn't change her, she fell back asleep! But I still got all of her adorable stretches and silly faces. :)
